You only have the first seven seconds to make your first impression with a potential client of JV partner.   I do believe that with a small window of time you will receive full attention to what will align with their goals and expectation.

Watch what your body language says about you while listening and networking with others.

  • Have a smile which communicates an openness to a conversation, you are approachable, and that you are trustworthy.
  • Be sure to keep consistent eye contact so the other person fells respected and understood.
  • Remember to nod during conversations to show that you are listening to what the other person is saying.
  • Always stand tall to appear that you are confident in talking to your possible clients.
  • A clear voice tone will also show that you are confident in your conversation.

Networking with Like-Minded People

  • Effective business networking is to connect with like-minded business professionals, in which we build a trust through relationships where we can see a need to support each other.
  • Networking in a business community can be through Meet-Up Groups, Business Associations, BNI, eWomen Network, Seminars, Lectures, Public Meetings, Breakfast Networking Clubs, Hospitality Events, Conventions, and local Chambers of Commerce.

Be Authentic and a Memorable Communicator

  • Have the ability to be present and respond more effectively.
  • Be able to adjust your content and deliver your presentations to suit particular audience styles.

Set Yourself Apart

  • Zero in on prospective clients by offering sound advice and guidance to those in need.
  • Get to know your customers to build your relationship based on their business needs.
  • Touch base with your past customers and offer them a loyalty discount.

Give and Receive Great Business Referrals

  • Give referrals to get referrals is the basis for business networking.
  • Keep your client’s best interest in mind.
  • Give at least three recommendations in any situation.

Use Networking Events to Build Your Business

  • Know the purpose of your networking event and save the date.
  • Be consistent and attend your weekly and monthly network events.
